About this tool
Characters are drawn with crypto.getRandomValues from the selected sets, with at least one from each selected set (uppercase, lowercase, digits, symbols), then shuffled. Math.random is not used because it can be predicted.
Strength is entropy: length × log2(number of possible characters). With all four sets there are 89 characters, so 16 characters is about 104 bits, while a 4-digit PIN is 13 bits. Below 60 bits is fair; 80 or more is very strong.
Exclude look-alikes removes characters like 0 O o 1 l I. Passwords are created only on this device, never stored, and regenerate when you change options.

How long should it be?
At least 12 characters with all four sets (about 78 bits); 16+ for important accounts.
Is the password saved?
No. It is created in your browser and never sent or stored.
A site does not allow symbols?
Turn symbols off and increase the length — 20 letters and digits is about 119 bits.
