About this tool
Four common percentage calculations on one page: B% of A is A × B ÷ 100, A as a percent of B is A ÷ B × 100, the change from A to B is (B − A) ÷ A × 100, and A increased by B% is A × (1 + B ÷ 100).
For example, 15% of 200 is 30, 30 is 15% of 200, going from 200 to 250 is a 25% increase, and 10,000 plus 10% is 11,000. Enter a negative percent such as -30 in the last row for a discount: 7,000.
Results update as you type, and floating-point noise is rounded at 12 significant digits.
FAQ
How do I get a sale price?
Enter the price and a negative percent (e.g. -30) in the last row: 10,000 minus 30% is 7,000.
Is percent change the same as percentage points?
No. Going from 10% to 15% is a 50% change but a 5 percentage-point difference. This shows the percent change.
